Professional Dog Trainer Apprentice Course

This course is for the serious dog handler. Maybe your goal is to be a professional dog trainer or just learn more about the art and skill of training dogs! There is so much to learn about in the dog training field. You can not limit your self to one trainer or one way. We can get you started to a rewarding and fulfilling new career or hobby!

You will learn how to train many different breeds including your own. We will teach you the skills and give you the experience to become a Canine Good Citizen Evaluator. There is always a human attached to the other end of the leash. You will need to help them to be successful with their dogs. You will learn the basics for competition obedience shows. You will learn skills to train puppies and adult dogs. It is challenging to learn the many behaviors of different breeds and the skill to address their training needs. There is no limit to what you can learn in this field. The cost depends of the duration of your training. You may learn the basics this year and come back for more advanced training another time. It is all up to you!

One week course $1500
We recommend this course for the serious dog handler that wants one week of intensive instruction with their own dog. You will spend 5 days with us with your dog learning new skills and perfecting old ones.
This is great for the handler that want to compete with their dog.

Three week course $4000
Same as one week, but will include training other dogs and owners. With more time we can cover a lot more training. Some of your training will be at our farm location to teach you more skills in a different setting.

Five week course $5500
Same as the four week, but will include much more training. You will learn puppy skills through advanced and  observe and assist police dog training. You will learn how to conduct evaluations, group classes, private lessons and more. This course is the best for anyone wanting a full time career in dog training.
